[Preview] Wayang Legend Of The Guardians (2010)

Legend of the Guardians is based on the first three installments of the Guardians of Ga’Hoole book series The Capture, The Journey, and The Rescue, written by Kathryn Lasky.

The movie is about Soren, a young barn owl, who is kidnapped by owls of St. Aggie’s, ostensibly an orphanage, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers. The story goes on from there.
Legend of the Guardians has a reported budget of $100 million, which for an animation movie of this size is definitely below average. For example, another recent 3D Animation movie, Up, cost more than $175 million to make. With that in mind, I see this movie as being a fairly big box office success for Warner Brothers, which is the studio behind the movie.

Legend of the Guardians voice cast includes Sam Neill, Hugo Weaving, Emilie de Ravin, Ryan Kwanten, Jim Sturgess, Geoffrey Rush, Helen Mirren, Abbie Cornish, Jay Laga’aia, David Wenham and Richard Roxburgh.
